Maitreyi College’s Annual Cultural Festival “Rhapsody’23” begun with a bang! Prof. Vijay Laxmi Singh, Chairperson of Maitreyi College Governing Body formally declared the cultural festival RHAPSODY’23 as open. The event was graced by the Guest of Honour, Dr. Shikha Sharma, renowned Nutritionist and Ms. Gauri Diwakar, renowned classical dancer. Officiating Principal, Prof. Haritma Chopra addressed the esteemed gathering and wished all the best for conceptualisation and organization of the event. Maitreyi College's Photography Society ‘Vista’ launched their bi-monthly magazine ‘Bokeh’ in the inaugural ceremony which showcased the works of their society members. Students from Maitreyi College's Classical Dance society ‘Nrityakriti’ performed on Shiv Vandana to seek blessings for successful execution of the cultural festival. Students from New Zealand under the Prime Minister Scholarship for Asia exchange program also gave a stellar dance performance on a Bollywood song.
The 21 events were conducted on 3rd and 4th February, 2023 where students performed and participated in various cultural competitions. The headlining performance starring hit Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari was performed live on 4th February evening.
