Climate change is a global threat that has influenced the normal habitat and put stress on various sectors. Due to it, India has faced severe heat waves, flooding, and the melting of the Himalayas. Maitreyi College is a proactive institution concerned with the conservation of the environment and has introduced Green Initiatives in the college to generate awareness and promote environmental care. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 also stresses on appropriate integration of environmental awareness and sensitivity towards its conservation and sustainable development in school and college syllabi. Maitreyi College has created an environment for sustainable use of resources and conducts several programmes and awareness campaigns.
