The Indian Dance Society of the college manifests a variety of Indian Classical and Folk-dance forms. Nrityakriti aims at reflecting the cultural richness through diversified dance forms. Being the champions within the DU Folk Dance Circuit for 7 consecutive fest seasons (from 2016-22) , this fest season too Nrityakriti has made its remarkable place, and the society successfully established an impeccable record in its history bagging 12 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 3 third prizes, making us the number 1 Indian Dance Society in the DU circuit.
Nrityakriti strives to abide by the motto of 'passion with grace' in all aspects of life. Our goal is to provide opportunities for connecting with art, nature, music, dance, and other positive activities, while celebrating creativity and diversity in a supportive joyful community.
In a world where the western influence continues to attract young minds, we at Nrityakriti strive to stick to our roots with the mission to expand and grow our rich culture through what we do the best- dance. Karagattam- the ancient folk dance of Tamil Nadu which was otherwise not well known in northern India is now a widely venerated art form in the DU dance circuit.
Nrityakriti conducts two events –
1. MALANG – Solo / Duet/ Group Folk Dance Competition
2. PRATYANG – Solo Classical Dance Competition
